Cruise Ships


So far, I have been on 32 different cruise ships and sailed over a year of sailing days.  The very first cruise was in 1989 on  Carnival’s TSS Festivale . This is the postcard I sent home.

Since 1989, I have sailed on several ships, and I have reviewed some of the newer ones.  I hope to add reviews to this list as I sail.

Carnival: Mostly in the Caribbean:   TSS Festivale (1989) Holiday (2006, 2008), Sensation (2008), Victory (2009), Elation (2010, 2013), Miracle (2011), Liberty (2013), Freedom (2015), Vista (Mediterranean 2016), Glory (2017), Mardi Gras (2021)

Princess:    Dawn (Alaska-2003), Caribbean Princess (Caribbean 2012), Golden Princess (South America 2015), Star (Alaska 2016), Royal (Caribbean 2017), and planning to sail on the Emerald (British Isles) and the Majestic (Alaska)  in 2022

Norwegian: Pride of America (Hawaii 2010), Sun (Eastern Caribbean 2011), Escape (Eastern Caribbean 2015) Breakaway (Western Caribbean 2019) Joy (2019 Panama Canal partial Transit and 2021 Western Caribbean)

Royal Caribbean: Mariner of the Sea (Baja 2010) Adventure of the Sea (Caribbean 2015), Brilliance of the Sea (Mediterranean 2016), Radiance of the Seas (Australia 2018); Odyssey of the Seas (Sept 2021 Caribbean one of the first sailings after the pandemic restart), Symphony of the Seas (three times post pandemic restart fall 2021- Caribbean – once in Central Park Balcony, once in Regular Balcony and once in Grand Suite); and plan to sail on the Allure of the Seas in the fall of 2022

Celebrity: Equinox (Mediterranean 2012); Solstice (Australia and New Zealand 2018);Infinity (Western Caribbean 2020 – Late February – one of the last sailings before Covid suspended sailings)

MSC:  Divina (Bermuda and Bahamas 2016); Seaside (Caribbean 2018)

Oceania: Marina (Baltics 2019) and we hope to a Middle East / Holy Lands cruise in 2023
