Wanna hold a puppy? These Iditarod puppies bring upwards of $4,000! You better believe I treated this little fella like he were made of gold.
The Headquarters in Wasilla, Alaska, offers a film about the Iditarod, a small museum, a gift shop, and outdoor exhibits.
There is even a “Christmas-like” tree decorated with dog mittens. During the Iditarod, those mittens keep paws protected.
Here, in the summer, the dogs train by pulling tourists around in wheeled vehicles.
All in all, this was a pretty interesting stop en-route to Anchorage.
