Curacao – 2022

We have been to the cruise port at Curacao several times, and this is the first time we had a rainy day.

One of the greatest tourist attractions is this pontoon bridge you can see in the distance. It swings from one side to the other for pedestrians and takes us to the colorful shopping district.

Today we wandered around just to see what we could see.

We found a little park

Statue of Queen Wilhelmena
Dushi is a word that means, “good” or “sweet.” It is a compliment.
We took shelter under a large pavilion downtown as the rain poured.

My daughter was on a quest to find a beach access. We did finally see an area with lots of hotels and resorts and saw an entrance to the beach area from one of the hotel properties.

But after enjoying the beach chairs and cooling off in the water for a little while, we realized that what we thought was a beach access was probably a private hotel access for their own private cove, so we left as quietly as we came.

To see other things to do in Curacao, see my post about our visit in 2017 located here.
