Rounding Cape Horn

O.K. This is not really a “port,” but rounding Cape Horn was on our South American cruise itinerary.  I’ve heard that this can be some of the roughest waters in the world, so I actually wore an anti-nausea patch just in case.

Smooth sailing.  What a blessing. No patch needed!

There is a light house on Cape Horn and a keeper who lives here with his family.  We were told they had a 2 year old and 10 year old. Can you imagine keeping the 2 year old away from the edge?????  Not a task I would want.

We each received a certificate for rounding the cape.  What a great surprise!
