The Blue Mountains! A beautiful, temperate rain forest.
We took an all-day tour with Anderson tours. Our guide, Ian, is a native Australian, and he gave us an excellent tour. There were 18 of us on his mini-bus. It was a little tight; every seat was filled.
First stop was Scenic World. Our tour included rides on the skyway, the cable car, and an incline train (almost vertical). Someone afraid of heights, especially my good friend, Ralph, would have hated this. We thought it was great.
Next, we enjoyed a show at the Aborigonal Culture Center. This guy is playing a digeridoo (probably spelled wrong!)
After lunch at the lawn bowling club, we went to Featherdale Wildlife center and saw many of Australia’s native birds, animals, and reptiles.
The tour concluded with a ferry ride on the river and back to Circular Quay (pronounced “key”) which is only 10 minutes to our hotel.
Tomorrow we board our ship, The Radiance of the Seas and we hope to enjoy a restful day at sea. Watch for my next post: Brisbane, Australia.
Wow! Enjoying seeing and reading about what you have done so far!
