Sydney Australia Day 2

Our second day in Sydney was a Sunday. We took a Taxi to Macquarie church of Christ, a non-denominational church in one of the suburbs of Sydney.

This friendly congregation was multigenerational, multi-ethnic, and about as friendly as they come.

After worship, the preacher and his family took us to a local mall, treated us to lunch, and returned us to the hotel.  We really enjoyed visiting with them and felt an instant friendship.

Sydney has multiple parks, gardens, museums, green spaces, and beautiful architecture. The following are some of the photos from our Hop-on/Hop-off Big Bus.

Australia is known for its pubs, so for dinner we chose Fortune of War, which claims to house the oldest pub in Sydney.  Dinner was served upstairs in a small bistro. Hubby ordered kangaroo. It was lean and tender and prepared very well. I had a pork chop with Brussel sprouts. Mine was good, but I actually liked his kangaroo better! Who would have thought?
